Work Study

This is a collection of work that I have done as part of the student worker position I held as graphic designer. My responsibilities included creating posters and digital signs that were displayed around the school to advertise for different events.

This is a poster design for a book club meeting. The book being discussed was Grasshopper Jungle. In a play at being literal, an illustration of a grasshopper is placed in the middle of the poster, surrounded by leaves that would be found in a rain forest. There are heavy black stripes in the background. The typography on this poster is chunky and remniscient of vintage posters. The main color in this poster is green.

This is a poster design for AiP's Culinary Club. They served sliders, hot dogs, and chili throughout the quarter this was designed in. The poster features a grill placed at the bottom of a circle that is in the middle of the poster. 'Sliders, Hot Dogs, & Chili' is placed on the grill as if they are being grilled. The information for the event, 'Student Lounge, Cookout, Sliders, Hot Dogs, Chili,' is placed inside the top of the circle. The name of this event, 'Culinary Club Pop-Up' is placed at the top of the circle, surrounding it.

This is a poster for the Fun with Fingerpaints event. There is a rainbow inverse sunburst eminating from the bottom of the poster. The typography is a brush script font, used to help connect it back to the idea of painting. An illustration of paint covered hands is placed at the bottom of the page. There is confetti floating above and around the hands.

This is a poster design for International Women's Day. It uses serif font to impress a professional feeling. 'International Women's Day' is at the top of the poster, with the word women's being highlighted. Underneath it is the information, with the hashtag '#PressforProgress' being highlighted as well. The design is composed of a piece of paper that has a coffee stain at the bottom, an uncapped highlighter at the top, and an iPhone at the bottom left.

This is a poster design for the Make Your Own Stress Ball event. It uses a bold custom illustration of a hand gripping a stress ball as its focus. Stretching across the top of the stress ball are the words 'Stress Ball' which continue from the rest of the event title that is outside off the stress ball. There are thick yellow and yellow-orange lines radiating out from the top of the stress ball, drawing focus to the type. The use of bright yellow and stark grey help the poster stand out and attract attention.

This is a poster made for the Culinary Club Pop-Up event. For this event, the Culinary Club was serving nachos. The word 'Nacho' is bold, colored with a gradient, outlined with a thick line, and jumbled up, creating a fun appearance. This aesthetic is repeated in the illustration of a nacho bowl at the bottom of the design. There are thick and zig-zagged stripes in the background of the poster.
